I read with interest the paper by Ranjan and Nasser (1) reviewing nutritional status, biometrics, metabolic processes, and eating patterns in autistic children. Emphasis was placed on potential biomarkers to enable earlier diagnosis, with less attention on the potential of nutrition to prevent or modify the occurrence and expression of autism.
